In memory of Dr Mike Ryalls MB BCh MRCP(UK) FRCPCH

The STPEG Committee are proud to dedicate the Spring 2026 Meeting to Dr Mike Ryalls. Case presentations will be judged by the STPEG committee for their quality, delivery and paediatric endocrine interest.

Mike was a founder committee member of the South Thames Paediatric Endocrine Group which was founded in 1996 and continued to play a very active role in STPEG up to his retirement. He was a general paediatrician with a special interest in diabetes and endocrinology at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, for many years but also worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital on the late endocrine effects of cancer treatment. He was a research fellow at the Royal Marsden investigating the endocrine effects of bone marrow transplantation and also spent time in endocrine Training in Melbourne, Australia. He also had many high-quality scientific publications covering a wide range of subjects.

Who We Are

The South Thames Paediatric Endocrine Group (STPEG) organises a biannual conference attended by approximately 100 healthcare professionals who work in paediatric endocrinology across hospitals in South East England.

Our network spans from King's and Guy's in London, extending out to Margate on the east coast and Brighton and Hastings on the south coast, bringing together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing paediatric endocrinology care.
